About

Charity Clark has served as Vermont Attorney General since January 5, 2023, and is the first woman elected to the position. Her office has pursued legal action against Meta over harm to children, sued Monsanto for PCB contamination of Vermont's water resources and schools, and filed suit against the FDA to expand access to medication abortion. She successfully advocated for a criminal records sealing bill and a firearm suicide prevention bill, and negotiated the return of $310,000 in security deposits for formerly houseless Vermonters who participated in the state's motel program. Clark won re-election to the office and has continued to be active in multistate efforts opposing federal overreach by the Trump administration.
