About

Phil Scott serves as the 82nd Governor of Vermont, first taking office in January 2017 and winning reelection to a fifth term in 2024, carrying every city and town in the state. Prior to the governorship, he served three terms as Vermont's 79th Lieutenant Governor from 2011 to 2017, during which he launched the Everyday Jobs Initiative, working in 35 different professions across the state. A Barre native and Spaulding High School graduate, his 2020 reelection victory produced more votes than any gubernatorial candidate in Vermont history.
