Charles Kimbell

Charles Kimbell is a Democrat representing the Windsor-5 district in the Vermont House of Representatives, currently serving his fourth term after first serving from 2017 to 2023 and returning in 2025. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means as Ranking Member and on the Joint Fiscal Committee, and previously chaired the House Committee on Commerce and Economic Development. Before returning to the legislature, Kimbell ran unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in 2022, citing education financing and school construction as key issues that drew him back to seek his former seat. His private-sector background spans commercial banking, art licensing and publishing, software sales, and co-ownership of an outdoor clothing store in Woodstock.
