Daisy Berbeco

Rep. Daisy Berbeco of Winooski serves as Ranking Member on the House Committee on Health Care and sits on the Vermont Commission on Mental Health and the Courts. Born in Alaska and educated at Sonoma State University and the University of Sussex, she built a career in global health and behavioral health policy before entering the legislature, including six years at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, where she contributed to passage of the Affordable Care Act and the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act. Prior to joining the General Assembly, she served as Senior Advisor for Mental Health Policy at the Vermont Department of Mental Health, where she managed legislative coordination, suicide prevention initiatives, and Medicaid waiver reporting. She is a 2021 graduate of Emerge Vermont.
