Emily Carris Duncan (they/she) has represented the Windham-6 district in the Vermont House of Representatives since January 2025, succeeding Tristan Roberts. A fifth-generation Vermonter raised in Rutland, they hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education Studies from The New School University and a Master's Degree in Photography from University College of Art in England, and have worked as an educator, textile artist, and gallery owner in New York and Philadelphia. Carris Duncan serves on the House Committee on Commerce and Economic Development, the Joint Carbon Emissions Reduction Committee, and the County and Regional Governance Study Committee, and sits on the Land Access Opportunity Board, which supports housing and land access for Vermont's diverse minority communities.
