Francis "Topper" McFaun is a Republican State Representative from Barre Town who has served in the Vermont House since 2005, with service in the sessions of 2005–2006, 2007–2008, 2009–2010, 2011–2012, 2013–2014, 2015–2016, 2017–2018, and 2019 to present. A Boston University graduate with a BS in education, he retired after nearly four decades in leadership positions with Vermont state government and also served in the Army Reserve and National Guard from 1964 to 1972. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Health Care and as a member of the Joint Legislative Justice Oversight Committee. A longtime community figure, he has held positions on the Barre Town Select Board, Barre Town School Board, and the Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation, among others.
