Kate Lalley

Kate Lalley has represented the Chittenden-6 district in the Vermont House of Representatives since January 2023, serving on the House Committee on Transportation. A Washington, D.C. native who has lived in Shelburne since 2003, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kenyon College and a master's in landscape architecture from the University of Virginia. Before her election, Lalley spent 15 years in landscape and urban design followed by work as a regional planner focused on attainable housing and community planning, and she served on Shelburne's selectboard and as a planning commissioner for 15 years.
