Rebecca Holcombe has represented the Windsor-Orange-2 district in the Vermont House since 2023 and serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means as well as the School District Redistricting Task Force. A lifelong educator, she has worked as a middle and high school teacher, school principal, district leader, and Vermont's Secretary of Education, and founded the Greenway Institute, a National Science Foundation-funded startup aimed at launching students from underrepresented backgrounds into sustainable engineering. She holds an MBA and a doctorate in administration, policy, and leadership, and has lived in Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Fiji Islands, Sudan, and China before returning to Vermont, where she resides in Norwich.
