Richard Nelson

Richard Nelson is a Republican member of the Vermont House of Representatives representing the Orleans-1 District, having assumed office on January 8, 2025 following his November 2024 election victory, in which he received 98.3% of the vote. He succeeded Brian Smith in the seat and serves a term running through January 2027. Nelson also holds a position on the North Country Junior Union High School District 22 board in Derby, with that term ending in 2026.
