Robert Hooper

Robert Hooper is a Democrat representing the Chittenden-18 district in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2019, and sits on the House Committee on Government Operations and Military Affairs. A longtime Burlington resident of the New North End, he served in the Army in 1971 as a radio operator in the signal corps and later earned a B.A. in Individual and Family Studies from Penn State University in 1979. His professional background includes work in solar home construction and experience as a long-haul moving van driver, which shaped his ongoing interests in alternative energy and small business advocacy.
