Wayne Laroche is a Republican State Representative serving the Franklin-5 district since 2022, currently sitting on the House Committee on Appropriations. He was born in Sheldon, Vermont, holds a BS in Wildlife Management from the University of Maine and an MS in Natural Resource Management from Humboldt State University, and built a career spanning marine biology, environmental consulting, and natural resource management. He served as Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife from 2003 to 2011, appointed by Governor Douglas, and later directed the Pennsylvania Game Commission's Bureau of Wildlife Management from 2015 until his retirement in 2018.
