Andrew Chalnick

Andrew Chalnick serves as a City Councilor and Vice Chair on the South Burlington City Council, representing a three-year term ending in 2026, and can be reached at 670 Nowland Farm Road. During his tenure, he has championed housing and climate policy, including permitting 608 new housing units, enabling higher-density construction near City Center, and establishing carbon-free and EV-ready new construction requirements. He has also highlighted keeping municipal taxes nearly flat in real dollars while expanding walking and biking infrastructure and increasing funding for sidewalk and shared use path maintenance.
