Anne Awad serves as a Selectboard Member in Wallingford, Vermont, where she has been a resident for eight years after spending four decades visiting the area with her family. She holds an MSW from the University of Connecticut, an MPH, and a PhD in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, and spent 30 years with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health before leading rural and urban federally qualified health centers for 15 years. Now retired, she also served as an adjunct professor at UConn, Springfield College, and the University of Massachusetts, and remains active in community health through her board service at Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region.
