Ben Traverse

Ben Traverse represents Ward 5 on the Burlington City Council and serves as City Council President, having first been elected in March 2022. He has prioritized public safety, consistently voting to support police recruitment and retention while also advocating for expanded homelessness services and harm reduction efforts. During his tenure, he has worked to advance affordable housing development and supported rezoning of the South End Innovation District to allow additional housing opportunities.
