Bradley J. Bender
Selectboard Chair
About
Bradley J. Bender, a member of the Vermont Libertarian Party, was first elected to the Danby Selectboard in March 2019 and serves as its Chair. Before settling in Vermont at age 23, he was elected to the West Milford, NJ Board of Education at 18 and later became its president, reportedly the youngest board of education president in the U.S. He served as Danby's town water system operator for 30 years before retiring, and holds additional town roles including Trustee of Public Funds and Cemetery Commissioner. A retired Rutland City Public Schools teacher, Bender is also President of the Mt. Tabor-Danby Historical Society, which he has been active in since its founding in 1985.
