Robert Edmunds

Robert A. Edmunds served on the Barnard Selectboard as well as the town's Cemetery Commission, and was a former member of the Barnard Planning Board. A master carpenter and maple syrup producer, he built his own home from lumber harvested on his land and earned a reputation for producing Vermont Fancy grade syrup. He took personal pride in maintaining the Barnard Town Hall, regularly refinishing its floors and performing other upkeep. Edmunds passed away unexpectedly at his home in Barnard on March 9, 2025, at the age of 66.
