About

Shannon Bryant has served on the Sudbury Selectboard since winning her seat at Town Meeting in 2024, becoming the first woman ever elected to that body. A 1990 Otter Valley graduate, she returned to Sudbury with her wife, architect Shelly Pottorf, after decades away, and ran at the urging of community members following long-time member Art Keefe's departure. Bryant's professional background includes ice hockey coaching at Hamilton and Williams colleges and founding Tend Building, a Houston-based design-build firm that constructed one of the few certified "living buildings" in the world. She has described her motivation for serving in straightforward terms: "I just wanted to help people find solutions."
