Alison Clarkson serves as a Democratic State Senator representing the Windsor District and currently holds the position of Majority Leader of the Vermont State Senate. She previously served 12 years in the Vermont House representing Plymouth, Reading, and Woodstock before being elected to the Senate in 2016. Clarkson serves as Vice-Chair of the Senate Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs Committee and also sits on the Senate Government Operations Committee, the Legislative Climate Solutions Caucus, and the State Workforce Development Board. Before entering Vermont politics, she spent 15 years as a theater producer in New York City.
