Ann Cummings

Ann Cummings is a Democratic State Senator representing Washington County who has served in the Vermont Senate since January 1997, previously serving as Mayor of Montpelier from 1990 to 1996. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Cardinal Cushing College and a Master of Science in Administration from Saint Michael's College, and has worked as a real estate broker. Cummings has chaired both the Finance Committee (2011–2013 and again from 2017) and the Education Committee (2015–2017), and served as Senate majority leader from 2001 to 2003. She currently serves on the Senate Committee on Capitol Complex Flood Recovery Special.
