Anne Watson

Anne Watson has served as a Democratic/Progressive member of the Vermont Senate representing the Washington District since January 2023, and works as a physics teacher at Montpelier High School. During her first term, she served as Vice Chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee and on the Government Operations Committee. Watson championed environmental legislation including a first-in-the-state energy information disclosure requirement at the time of home sale, and previously served on the Montpelier City Council, where she helped secure a one-megawatt solar array that saved the city $50,000 per year on electricity.
