Allen "Penny" Demar is a Republican member of the Vermont House of Representatives representing the Franklin-7 District, having assumed office on January 4, 2023, after succeeding Felisha Storm. Born in St. Albans, Vermont, and a resident of Enosburgh Falls, Demar graduated from Enosburg High School in 1970 and built a career as a local meat market owner and operator, a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, and a hunter safety instructor for the State of Vermont. Prior to his legislative service, he served on the Enosburg Development Review Board and Planning Commission, the Enosburg Falls School Board, and the Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union Board. He won re-election in November 2024, defeating his opponent with 66.6% of the vote.
