Kevin "Coach" Christie

Kevin "Coach" Christie is a Democratic State Representative serving Hartford in Vermont's Windsor-6 district who also sits on the University of Vermont Board of Trustees, having been elected to that role by the Vermont State Legislature in 2019. He holds a BA from Eastern Connecticut University (1972) and an MEd from Plymouth State University (1990), and his career spans roles as a teacher, coach, principal, adjunct professor, therapeutic case manager, business owner, and executive director. Christie serves as Chair of the Vermont Human Rights Commission and Chair of the Hartford School Board, and has previously volunteered with the Hartford Teen Center, Boys & Girls Club, and as a firefighter and EMT.
