Richard Bailey

Richard Bailey is a Republican member of the Vermont House of Representatives serving the Lamoille-2 district since January 2025, representing Hyde Park in Lamoille County. A graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Business Administration, he built a career in Vermont's energy, transport, and wholesale supply sectors before retiring. He serves on the House Committee on Energy and Digital Infrastructure and has an extensive background in public service, including 13 years on the Lamoille County Planning Commission, appointments to the Vermont Lottery Commission (2004–2011) and Vermont Transportation Board (2015–2024), and terms as Justice of the Peace and Hyde Park School Board Director.
