Mike Hoyt

Mike Hoyt serves as Vice Chair of the Hartford Selectboard, having first been elected to the board in a 2021 special election and serving as chair from March 2022 to March 2025. In December 2025, Governor Phil Scott appointed him to fill a vacant state House seat representing Barnard, Bridgewater, Pomfret, and part of Hartford. As an attorney, Hoyt previously spent six years staffing legislative committees for the Vermont Legislature and later worked for the Vermont Department of Labor. Upon his appointment, Hoyt said he was excited to "build on his prior experience working in state government," where both he and his parents have worked.
